Pakistan cricket team leaves for England

Lahore: The 31-member contingent of the Pakistani team left for England.

The Pakistani team consists of 20 and 11 coaching support staff members who were housed in a private hotel bio-secure environment. From there, the players reached Allama Iqbal Airport in vehicles with all precautions, after which they were put on a special plane.

PCB chairman Ehsan Mani and his wife are also traveling with the team. Both of them had a negative corona test. The Pakistani players will undergo a corona test on their arrival in England and all will remain in quarantine in Worcester for fourteen days.

Three Tests and three T20 matches will be played between Pakistan and England. The first Test will be played in Southampton from August 5. Bowling coach Waqar Yunus will arrive in England from Sydney to join the team.

The schedule of the series between Pakistan and England is yet to be announced.
